Celery Tall Utah OSC Seed is a great option for growing celery at home. Start seeds indoors 10-12 weeks before the last frost date to ensure proper germination in 3 weeks with temperatures of 21-24 C (70-75 F). Transplant seedlings outdoors after hardening off in mid-May to mid-June to a sunny site in fertile, well-drained soil with a pH of 6.5 to 7.0. Place plants 15-20 cm (6-8″) apart with 90 cm (36″) between rows. Blanche stalks by earthing up the stems when they reach 30 cm (12″) in height. Feed plants regularly with a balanced fertilizer and keep soil evenly moist through the entire season for proper stalk formation.
