Large 12-18 cm wide flowers in yellow, mahogany and bi-colours all with black-brown centres occur June through August. A type of Black-Eyed Susan, also known as Hairy Coneflower. Perfect for borders or for massing in large sunny gardens. Garden height averages 90 cm. Best grown where there is good air circulation to prevent mildew and other foliar disease. Water only when stressed by drought and then only in the morning so that foliage dries. Hardy to Zone 4 with protection.
