How to Grow

Select a sunny site with well drained organic soil. Sow seeds in late May when the soil has warmed – do not be in a hurry as cool, damp soil often leads to seed rot. Barely cover the seed with soil and under ideal conditions, germination will occur in 5-10 days. When the seedlings are 7.5 cm tall, thin smaller varieties to 25 cm apart and larger varieties to 35 cm apart.
